Jim Moyle of Atlantis Computing Receives Prestigious Citrix Technology Professional Award

Atlantis Computing™, the leader in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions announced that Jim Moyle, Lead Solutions Consultant for Europe at Atlantis Computing, has been awarded the prestigious Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) Award for 2012. Jim is one of only ten virtualization experts worldwide to receive the CTP award in 2012. Only forty seven people currently hold this award globally.

The Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) Program recognizes and supports the contributions of highly visible, credible and accessible individuals that have invested a tremendous amount of time and resources in sharing their expertise in Citrix products and solutions. These individuals have consistently demonstrated their real-world knowledge, industry expertise and technological insights.

“I feel privileged to join the CTP community which includes some of the most respected virtualization experts such as Shawn Bass, Brian Madden, Chris Wolf and Ruben Spruijt,” said Jim Moyle, Lead Solutions Consultant, Atlantis Computing. “I look forward to sharing the knowledge I’ve gained working with customers on Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp deployments and publishing my research in the area of desktop virtualization.”

CTPs have enabled the success of Citrix implementations worldwide, whether through sharing knowledge on websites, publishing technical documentation, creating active communities of Citrix users, participating through online discussion forums, offering technical expertise in the field, or speaking publicly at IT conferences. The wealth of knowledge they have developed - and more importantly, openly shared - has proven invaluable to Citrix customers.

In addition to working with customers on desktop virtualization projects, Jim is a frequent speaker at industry events such as BriForum, E2EVC and Citrix Synergy. In 2011, Jim published his independent research title “Windows 7 IOPS Deep Dive” and presented the research at several industry events to help the virtualization community understand the storage challenges and performance implications of deploying Windows 7 with VDI. The Windows 7 IOPS research has been download thousands of times and was ranked as one of the top ten sessions at BriForum in 2011.

“Jim embodies the CTP program by working closely with real-world customers and then sharing his experience and knowledge with the Citrix virtualization community,” said Bernard Harguindeguy, CEO of Atlantis Computing. “We are thrilled for Jim as this represents many years of working within the Citrix community to help customers deploy desktop virtualization successfully. Our customers have long benefited from Jim’s expertise and we look forward to continue working closely with them as they scale their virtualization deployments.”

Jim Moyle will be co-presenting with fellow CTP Shawn Bass on April 11th at 9AM Pacific Time the webinar “Optimizing Citrix XenApp for the Virtual Data Center.” To register for the webinar, visit http://bit.ly/virtualizexenapp
