BiTMICRO® Launches New MAXio® Z-Series of PCIe Family of Solid State Drives

Supported by Patented Talino™ Architecture, Z-Series Full Height SSDs Present the Ideal Enterprise System Upgrade with Outstanding Capacity, Flash Management, and High Performance. Flash Memory Summit – Santa Clara, California, August 11, 2015 – Today, BiTMICRO® Networks, Inc. announced the release of the company’s MAXio® Z-Series PCIe solid state drives (SSDs). Powered by the BiTMICRO-patented Talino™ ASIC architecture, the new MAXio Z-Series full height SSDs offer outstanding capacity, flash management, and high performance for companies that need to support large volumes of application workloads. BiTMICRO MAXio Z-Series SSDs are based on the company’s industry-proven Talino ASIC architecture and include two in-house developed ASIC flash controllers for enhanced application performance. The new Z-Series also supports higher storage capacities—up to 8.8 TB in a PCIe edge card form factor—based on offloading the Flash Translation Layer (FTL) from the host server to the SSD.
